ITINERARY (16 DAYS / 15 NIGHTS) DAY 1: Arrived at Jaisalmer On arrival at Jaisalmer Railway Station, meet and greet by our local representative and he will drop you to hotel for check in. Later start city tour covering Jaisalmer Fort - built on the highest point of the Tricuta hill, Sun Gate. Outstanding features are Megh Durbar & various temples, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli , Patwon-Ki-Haveli - some of the beautiful mansions with stone carving and lattice work of breath taking intricacy, Gadi Sagar Tank Manak Chowk, Meg Durbar. Evening back to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 2: Jaisalmer – Sam Dunes (40 Kms) After breakfast start check out from hotel and drive to Sam Dunes. Sam Dunes is real Sahara like desert. The ripples on the wind caresses dunes cast enchanting images. On arrival check in to Desert Resort, Enjoy the Desert Camel Ride to getting a real feel of desert, Also enjoy rajasthani folk dance performance along with dinner around bonfire. The view of the setting sun is an unforgettable experience at Sam. Overnight stay at Swiss Tent. DAY 3: Sam Dunes – Jodhpur (310 kms) Today morning after breakfast check out from Swiss Tent and drive to Jodhpur - The Desert enchantment. On arrival, check in to hotel. Later enjoy city tour covering, Mehrangarh fort - unsurpassed in beauty & grandeur, it is one of the largest forts, Jaswanthada - The 19th century royal cenotaph, Clock tower - The timely treasure of Jodhpur. Umaid Bhavan, Mandore/Mahamandir, Moti/Phool Mahal, Balsamamand Lake Garden. Overnight at the hotel. DAY 4: Jodhpur – Mt. Abu (228 kms) Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Mt. Abu. Mt. Abu is the natural and the man made beauty with there scenic beauty of the nature, the amazing architectural wonders and archaeological remains are lies. On arrival check in to hotel, evening go to see the beautiful natural beauty all around. Overnight stay at hotel. DAY 5: Mt. Abu Today after breakfast visit the Jain temples of Dilwara (world famous for his temples architect), The Nakki Lake, and Vasahi Temple etc. Evening see the sunset view around the beautiful valley. Later back to hotel for overnight Stay. DAY 6: Mt. Abu – Udaipur (170kms) Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Lake City of Rajasthan – Udaipur. Udaipur – “The city of lakes, temples, gardens and narrow lanes strewn with stalls, carry the flavor of a heroic past, epitomizing velour and chivalry”. Their reflection in the placid waters of the Lake Pichhola is an enticing sight. City Palace - located amidst Lake Pichhola. Evening back to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 7: Udaipur After breakfast start city sight seeing tour. Built in 1559 A.D. by Maharaja Udai Singh, the city has been described as the most romantic spot on the continent of India by Col. James Todd. The places of interest include City Palace which has several carved balconies, arches and decorated pillars, Zenana Mahal, Fateh Prakash, Durbar Hall and Shambhu Niwas. Also visit Jagdish temple, Saheliyon-ki-Bari (queen`s resort for the friends). Evening Motor launch cruise (Cruise not included) on the placid waters of Lake Pichhola. Overnight stay at hotel. DAY 8: Udaipur – Ranaukpur – Kumbhalgarh (110 kms) Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Kumbhalgarh. Kumbhalgarh is famous the massive fort & the wildlife sanctuary. On arrival check in to hotel, later visit “Ranaukpur”, the beautifully sculptured Jain temples lie in a tranquil valley of the Aravalis. The main ‘Chaumukha Temple` is dedicated to the tirhankara Adinath and has 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, all distinctly carved. Two Jain temples dedicated to Neminath and Parsvanath and a Sun Temple a little distance away, are also noteworthy. Later visit Kumbhalgarh Fort built by Maharana Kumbha in the 15th century, Muchchal Mahavir Temple etc. Evening back to hotel for overnight Stay. DAY 9: Kumbhalgarh – Chittorgarh (181 kms) Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Chittorgarh. On arrival check in to hotel. Later visit Chittorgarh, The Chittorgarh is known as one of the old city of colorful Rajasthan. The forts and palaces of Chittor are glorious tales of valor and sacrifice in India. Visit Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory), Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame), Rana Kumbha Palace, Padmini`s Palace, among many others. Evening back to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 10: Chittorgarh – Ajmer/Pushkar (210 kms) After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Pushkar. Enroute, visit Ajmer- the holy shrine of Sufi saint Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti, which is equally revered by the Hindus and Muslims. Also See the “Adhai-Din-Ka-Jhonpara, Ana Sagar Lake and Dargah Sharif. Later reached Pushkar; Pushkar is best known for its Brahma Temple built in the 14th century standing on a high platform near Pushkar Lake. This is the only temple in the world where Lord Brahma - Creator of the Universe, is worshipped. Later check in to the hotel for Overnight Stay. DAY 11: Pushkar – Jaipur (150 kms) Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Jaipur. On arrival check in to hotel. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a color coat of pink a century ago in honor of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this color. Evening go for a stroll through the colorful bazaars of Pink City and enjoy shopping some of the famous items of Jaipur - marble imitations, brass items, leather items etc. Evening back to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 12: Jaipur After breakfast start city tour of Jaipur. Visit Amber Fort followed by elephant ride. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Shees Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur. Jaipur is built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja`s City Palace, the Observatory (Jantar – Mantar) & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Back to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 13: Jaipur – Mandawa (183 kms) Today after breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Mandawa. On arrival check in to hotel, later start tour of Mandawa. Mandawa: a compact little town of Shekhwati region, visit Havelis & beautiful frescoes. The medieval fort of Mandawa (300-year-old magnificent fort) gradually rises on the horizon like a mirage. There are Havelis of Kanoria, Ganeriwal and Saraf, which are a fine example of fresco paintings. Evening back to hotel for overnight stay.
DAY 14: Mandawa – Delhi (260 kms) After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Delhi. Afternoon reached at delhi, on arrival check in to hotel. Evening visit India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Lakshmi Narayan Temple - a modern Hindu Temple. Later back to hotel for overnight stay. DAY 15: Delhi Today after breakfast, we set you to visit Morning tour of Delhi start with Qutub Minar built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199, Humayun`s Tomb, Raj Ghat and Shanti Vana - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Afternoon visit Lotus Temple, Jama Masjid and drive past from Red Fort and do some shopping in Chandni Chowk or area around Connaught Place. Back to Hotel for overnight stay. DAY 16: Delhi (departure) Today after breakfast time free till departure. Later check out from hotel and drop off you at Airport or Railway Station for your onwards journey. |
